Systemic Constellation Workshop for Peace Building in Cameroon
This March, I facilitated a pioneering workshop on Systemic Constellation methodologies for peace building in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Expertly organized by Peter Kebei of ITAKA Cameroon, this two-day event brought together government officials, civil society leaders, and peace practitioners to explore deeper approaches to sustainable peace.

Key Participants & Engagement
The workshop attracted *distinguished participants including Senator Enwe Francis Abi, Honorable Prudencia INJOW, Member of Parliament, and several other parliamentarians, alongside representation from civil society organizations. This diverse group demonstrated strong interest in applying Systemic Constellation methodology to address Cameroon’s peace-building challenges.
Following the workshop, we met with Martin Hart Hansen, Director of UNDP Cameroon, to discuss how Systemic Constellation methodologies could enhance existing peace initiatives—a conversation that further validated the potential of this approach.
Systemic Constellation Methodology
Throughout the workshop, we demonstrated how Systemic Constellations reveal hidden dynamics and root causes of conflict that traditional approaches might miss. This methodology examines underlying patterns perpetuating conflict, creating opportunities for profound healing at both individual and societal levels.
Systemic constellations have already been applied as a complementary methodology in various countries to help reduce social polarization and support existing peace initiatives. Their strength lies in the ability to reveal hidden dynamics that sustain conflicts, thereby creating space for new possibilities of dialogue and reconciliation.
Media Impact
Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) coverage highlighted the Systemic Constellation methodology as complementary to traditional peace-building methods. Peter Kebei articulated the vision behind the initiative, while Honorable Prudencia INJOW shared insights on addressing fundamental societal tensions.
Looking Forward
This workshop represents an important step in exploring innovative approaches to peace-building in Cameroon. The enthusiastic response from government officials, civil society leaders, and media demonstrates the readiness to embrace methodologies that address the root causes of conflict. We look forward to continuing this important work and developing new opportunities to apply Systemic Constellations to peace-building throughout the region.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Peter Kebei and the ITAKA Cameroon team for their outstanding organization and commitment to sustainable peace
