Examples from practice:

"As the head of the registry office, I often felt overwhelmed by stressful interactions with citizens, which affected both me and my family. The resilience training taught me breathing techniques and the importance of self-care, which has positively impacted both my personal and family life. Now, I manage my emotions better and can listen without getting upset. I respond with a smile and calmly resolve situations, which helps the citizen to relax. This transformation has had a significant, positive effect on both my work and personal life".
Suzana Šepić
Head of registry office, local civil servant , municipality Viškovo
“As a municipal warden burdened with citizen complaints, I was initially skeptical about the resilience and stress management training. However, there I learned exercises that helped me relax and see the benefits. Now, when faced with a situation, I approach it calmly and collected. I practice mindful driving to avoid unnecessary stress. In potentially unpleasant situations, I resolve conflicts calmly through dialogue instead of raising my voice. I strive to treat citizens with kindness and understanding, aware that they are part of our local community.”
Željko Jurčić
local civil servant, municipality Viškovo, Ambassador of the project

Continuation of the project

Local Partners and Sustainability

Local partners are crucial for maintaining and enhancing sustainability initiatives, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the project and the continuous improvement of the community. After successfully completing phases 1,2 and 3 the city or municipality establishes collaboration with a local partner who, together with the project facilitator, designs and conducts workshops for sustainable development. This approach not only ensures the long-term sustainability of the project but also creates a solid foundation for future growth and community progress. Through synergistic engagement local partners actively contribute to building sustainable and prosperous local communities.
